Kali Uchis has teamed up with JT of City Girls and Dominican dembow singer El Alfa for a new song called “Muñekita.” The single is Uchis’ latest Spanish-language song, following the release of 2020’s Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios) ∞, which was sung entirely in Spanish. Uchis’ new track arrives months after her most recent full-length, Red Moon in Venus. Listen to “Muñekita” below.
“I love bringing artists together that you’d least expect,” Uchis said of her new song in press materials. “El Alfa is a Latino legend and JT is someone I’ve admired forever. Both of them are known for their summer hits and high energy, so I’m incredibly excited to bring them together for a fun, sexy song like this.”
Uchis is gearing up for another leg of her Red Moon in Venus Tour, which will kick off in September. In April, she performed at Coachella 2023, where she was joined by Tyler, the Creator for their Flower Boy collaboration, “See You Again.” She also brought out Omar Apollo for “Worth the Wait,” and Don Toliver joined for “Fantasy.”
